A man was horrified to discover a flock of pigeons had taken over his home after he returned from a three-year stint away.
Nightmarish footage shows the entire flat’s floor coated in a thick layer of droppings, dotted with feathers.
Dozens of pigeons could be seen perched on windowsills, atop cabinets and lights, and even on the sofa, before taking flight indoors.

The Russian homeowner had reportedly gone to work in Siberia but accidentally left a window open, as reported by Need To Know.
“I left Vorkuta three years ago – what could have possibly happened while I was away?” he asked rhetorically.
“I come back and it’s a pigeon Dubai! Nests and feathers everywhere – enough to lay a whole new floor.
“They’re staring at me like I’m a late-paying tenant,” he joked. “Apparently, I’m not the landlord here – I’m a trespasser in the pigeon kingdom.”
Now, the man faces a major renovation. Restoring the flat is expected to cost around 1.5-2m rubles (£14,000-£18,800) – roughly the price of the flat itself, according to Russian media.
Experts warn pigeons carry numerous dangerous diseases, including bird flu and psittacosis.
The owner will need to throw out all the furniture, strip the old coverings, and treat the walls and floors with specialised disinfectants.
Some social media users, however, have questioned the story’s authenticity, suggesting the video is old, filmed by urban explorers in an abandoned flat and that the backstory may have been fabricated.
