A woman has revealed that her £8,000 Turkey teeth stopped her from eating hard foods and people said the “stumps” made her look 80 years old.
Anamaria Ciolte took the leap to fix her smile after years of bullying and insecurity about the gaps in her teeth.
Despite trying to make a positive change, the 35-year-old was left with stumps for six whole months.

From not being allowed hard foods to being mistaken for a pensioner, the recovery was a difficult process.
“People would call me ‘old’, ‘dentures’ or ask things like ‘Where are your top teeth?’ – and even say I looked like I was 80 years old,” Anamaria told Need To Know.
“It was hurtful, especially because they didn’t know what I was going through behind the scenes.
“I avoided hard foods and didn’t want to put too much pressure on my teeth.
“It was a long journey, both physically and emotionally.”
For years of her life she was extremely embarrassed about the look of her teeth and would avoid smiling when posing for photos.
The gap appeared when she was 26, after she had dental crown surgery, due to her bite not being done correctly.
Anamaria said: “Over time, the gap in my teeth became something I was very aware of.
“It affected my confidence more than I expected.
“I would avoid smiling fully in photos and sometimes even cover my mouth when laughing.
“It slowly started to impact how comfortable I felt in everyday situations.
“I experienced quite a lot of bullying, both in real life and on TikTok.
“People would make comments about my teeth, and some even compared them to ‘fences’, which was hurtful.
“It definitely affected my confidence and made me more self-conscious, especially when speaking or smiling.”
Anamaria turned to Turkey after being quoted up to £26,000 in her native Germany.
The first procedure was to remove the previous upper dental work that she’d had done due to infection.
Anamaria then had five implants installed alongside bone crafting and bone correction.
In March this year, she returned to complete the treatment.
She added: “The healing process required time.
“My lower teeth were only prepared during my second visit.
“After they were shaped, I received temporary teeth within two days.
“Before completing the treatment, there was a period where I had to adapt and be patient, which wasn’t easy, but I knew it was part of the process.
“I wish I had known about this clinic and this option much earlier, because it could have saved me years of insecurity.
“My treatment is now fully completed.
“I’m incredibly happy with how it turned out.
“With proper care, my dentist told me that my new teeth should last for many years — potentially 15 to 20 years or even longer.
“Good oral hygiene, regular dental check-ups, and looking after them properly will be key to maintaining them.”
