A pop star has died in a horror crash after leaving a sold-out concert.
Izac Bruno Coni Silva, better known as Zau O Pássaro, was killed when the car he was travelling in crashed into a stationary truck on the hard shoulder of a major highway.
The 27-year-old artist, who leaves behind a wife and two young daughters, had just performed to a packed crowd in Barreiras, Brazil, on Sunday (3 May) night.

He was killed while travelling home on the BR-116 highway in Feira de Santana in the early hours of the morning.
According to the Federal Highway Police, the crash happened shortly after 7am when the car, driven by a businessman and heading towards Salvador, struck the side of the parked lorry.
The HGV, which was carrying televisions, was undamaged and the driver escaped injury.
Zau O Pássaro was trapped in the wreckage and had to be cut free by firefighters.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was later transferred to a nearby morgue to undergo an autopsy.
Three other passengers in the car were injured and rushed to hospital.
One survivor was moved to a private facility and remains in a serious condition, while the other two are being treated at the public Clériston Andrade General Hospital, one in intensive care in an extremely grave state and the other in a general ward.
The Civil Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the collision.
Zau O Pássaro lived in Lauro de Freitas near Salvador and was enjoying a surge in popularity within the pagode music scene, amassing 260,000 followers on Instagram.
In March he signed a new recording contract with Som Music, as reported by Need To Know.
Producer Jadson Silva said the singer’s family is devastated.
“For us it’s very difficult, Izac’s wife is very bad,” he added.
Singer Xanddy said: “I thank God for the opportunity, even if brief, to have been with you and recorded the song I so wanted with you.”
Zau O Pássaro’s body is due to be buried in his hometown of Conceição do Almeida later today (5 May).
