YouTube star Rosanna Pansino has revealed she shattered her jaw in four places and smashed her front teeth after suffering a horror fall during her birthday celebrations.
The 41-year-old influencer said what began as a perfect day with friends ended in emergency surgery, stitches and a lengthy recovery.
Rosanna, best known for her hit baking series Nerdy Nummies, first hinted that something had gone wrong in a birthday post shared on 12 June.

Thanking fans for their messages, she wrote: “Although my birthday didn’t end the way I had planned (more on that in my next post), I will never forget the funny memories from this day; people I love, the beautiful ocean, dolphins swimming by our boat.”
A day later, the social media star revealed the full extent of her injuries.
Sharing photos from hospital and her recovery, Rosanna wrote: “Whelp, my birthday didn’t end quite as I had planned but it’s one I will never forget.

“After a beautiful day spent with friends out in the ocean, I unfortunately took a very bad fall as the boat was docking and broke my jaw into 4 pieces, including a complete fracture down the middle of my chin.”
The YouTuber said she spent the night in A&E, where she received stitches for three separate facial wounds, as reported by Need To Know.
Rosanna also revealed the accident left her with serious dental injuries.
“I also shattered my front teeth and will need extensive dental work to fix the damage,” she said.

“A couple days ago I had surgery to put a metal plate on my chin and to stabilize my teeth.
“My mouth also has four metal screws drilled into my gums for the bands to help hold my jaw in place.”
Despite the severity of her injuries, Rosanna said doctors were pleased with her recovery so far.
She said: “The good news is the doctor just updated me at the latest checkup that I can talk sooner than expected since the surgery and healing are going very well.”
But Rosanna added that she still faces at least eight weeks of recovery.

The internet star thanked medical staff, friends and followers for their support throughout the ordeal.
She said “I cannot thank all the medical staff who have helped me through all of this enough.
“A big thanks to everyone who has sent flowers, visited me, kind words, and encouragement.”
Pansino, who has built a huge online following through baking, food and lifestyle content, said she hopes to return to creating videos and recording her podcast as soon as possible.
She added: “While this year has been a very challenging one for me, I am excited to get back on my feet soon.

“The plan is to continue all my content on the main channel and podcast. I will keep you all updated on my progress.
“Next year I am celebrating my bday at a spa.”
Fans and fellow creators quickly flooded the comments section with messages of support.
Television personality Michelle Visage wrote: “RO!!!!! Omg!!!! GET WELL QUICKLY SUGAR.”

Rosanna’s partner Mike Lamond also commented on the post, while fellow YouTubers Safiya Nygaard, Joey Graceffa and iJustine shared messages of support.
The accident comes during what Pansino described as a difficult period in her life.
Last year, she revealed she had undergone surgery to remove a benign growth from her collarbone after multiple scans and an inconclusive biopsy.
The California-based creator remains one of YouTube’s best-known food personalities, with millions of subscribers tuning in for her baking tutorials, challenges and podcast content.
