A mum gave birth in her driveway after labour pains struck so suddenly she didn’t make it to hospital.
The dramatic arrival became even more frightening when her newborn son was delivered with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck.
Mayra Teixeira and her husband had loaded their two other children into the car and were preparing to rush to hospital when her contractions rapidly intensified.

Unable to continue the journey, the expectant mum was forced to get out of the vehicle and give birth outside her home.
Home security footage captured the extraordinary moment, showing Mayra leaning against a low wall in the driveway while her husband desperately tried to get help.
With paramedics still on their way, a quick-thinking neighbour rushed over to assist the couple.
Moments later, the situation took a terrifying turn when the baby’s father spotted the umbilical cord around the newborn’s neck.
He later recalled: “He was turning purple!”
Working together, the father and neighbour quickly removed the cord before the situation worsened.
Mayra successfully gave birth to a baby boy, later named Rodolpho, at her home in Ibaiti, Brazil, on 7 June.

Emergency crews arrived shortly afterwards and helped stabilise both mother and baby before taking them to hospital.
The newborn spent two days in neonatal intensive care for routine monitoring before being discharged in good health, as reported by Need To Know.
Both mum and baby are now recovering well following the dramatic home birth.
