Having a fancy shed has become a point of pride in Britain, with people transforming theirs into everything from at-home bars to offices, or even just pimping up the interior so the garden tools look more impressive.
Have you got one of your own that you are itching to show off? Here’s your chance.
The Cuprinol Shed of The Year competition has returned for its 16th year, with judges on the hunt for the most glamorous, mind-blowing and life-altering sheds.

Beyond the coveted title, winners from each of the seven categories will receive a £1,000 cash prize and £100 worth of Cuprinol garden products.
But competition is fierce so you’ll need to bring your A-game.
Some of last year’s winning sheds include a 70s-themed Crème de menthe bar, designed and decorated by Danielle Zarb-Cousin, who kitted out the space with vintage and charity shop finds.
She began work on her labour of love as a way to channel her heartbreak after splitting from her fiancé, Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell.
Danielle said: “Winning Shed of the Year felt amazing! The shed became a real focus for me during a turbulent time in my life and during the first lockdown when there wasn’t much to do.
“It also showed me that I can do anything I put my mind to so I am really proud of myself and I’m so pleased the judges thought it was worthy of the winning title.
“During lockdown, I think it was really important for us to create spaces in our homes or gardens that gave us the opportunity to escape, unwind and relax and the shed gave me a place to sit and write my blog and to just get away from all the madness going on in the world.
“It has also shown me that I’d like to do more upcycling and bring other old and unloved things back to life, which is probably something I never would have considered doing myself if we hadn’t gone into lockdown and if I hadn’t completed my shed project.”
Other fantastic sheds include a glorious relaxation pod with stained glass windows emblazoned with the words ‘In Memoriam’ and a children’s playroom with a faux fireplace and a miniature tower.
Another impressive shed has been converted into a small retail shop, stocked with lingerie, while elsewhere a woman designed her own wine bar.

Think you have what it takes to be this year’s winner?
Submit your photos into one of seven categories including: Budget, Cabin/Summerhouse, Pub & Entertainment, Unexpected/Unique, Workshop/Studio, Nature’s haven or – a new category for 2022 – Lockdown.
Entries need to include at least two photos of your dazzling designs along with some words sharing what inspired you and what makes your shed stand out amongst the rest.
You have until 19 April, so if your shed is still in need of a spruce-up, it’s time to get busy…
