Parents slam the cost of new kids play park near Windsor Castle which charges £12 for parents to watch Prince William and Kate’s kids’ new local play park has been slammed for charging mums and dads £12 to watch their children use the apparatus. Adventure Play opens today (11 July) in Windsor Great Park. It includes a network of wooden huts, raised walkways and slides. But parents have slammed the pricing with one mum fuming: “There is a cost of living crisis, read the room.” Another branded how much it is charging as “utterly obscene.” It costs £16 per child aged between two and 15-years-old. But grown-ups are charged £12, with only babies and carers not charged to enter. The sessions only last two hours. Hannah Brudenell fumed: “How could you guys get this so wrong?! “Whoever came up/approved this pricing structure needs a reality check and quite obviously couldn’t care less about children from struggling families. “There is a cost of living crisis, read the room.” Mum-of-two Natalie Masters said: “I’m sorry, but £56 for my family, two adults and two children for two hours in a park is utterly obscene. “What a pity.” Anjali Patel ranted: “Your market research is shocking if you think £56 for a family-of-four is fair pricing.” Charlotte Scoines said: “Sorry, am I missing something here. “Why on earth are parents being charged £12 for entry to a playground? “Yes, it is a beautifully built one, but I’m not going to play on it, my child is. “And for only two hours. “Crazy pricing, you have got this very wrong.” Ellie Kelly added: “I just logged on to book and could not believe the cost. “I run a forest school and I charge £14 per child for two hours and we cook on the fire and explore and make nature crafts and adults are free. “I can’t believe a playground is char

Parents have slammed the cost of a new kids play park near Windsor Castle which charges £12 for parents to watch their children use the apparatus.

Adventure Play opened on 11 July and includes a network of wooden huts, raised walkways and slides.

But mums have slammed the pricing with one fuming: “There is a cost of living crisis, read the room.”

Another branded how much it is charging as “utterly obscene.”

It costs £16 per child aged between two and 15-years-old to play at the attraction in Windsor Great Park.

But grown-ups are charged £12, with only babies and carers not charged to enter.

The sessions only last two hours.

“Whoever came up and approved this pricing structure needs a reality check and quite obviously couldn’t care less about children from struggling families.

Mum-of-two Natalie Masters said: “I’m sorry, but £56 for my family, two adults and two children for two hours in a park is utterly obscene.

“What a pity.”

Anjali Patel ranted: “Your market research is shocking if you think £56 for a family-of-four is fair pricing.”

Charlotte Scoines said: “Sorry, am I missing something here.

“Why on earth are parents being charged £12 for entry to a playground?

“Yes, it is a beautifully built one, but I’m not going to play on it, my child is.

“And for only two hours.

“Crazy pricing, you have got this very wrong.”

Ellie Kelly added: “I just logged on to book and could not believe the cost.

“I run a forest school and I charge £14 per child for two hours and we cook on the fire and explore and make nature crafts and adults are free.

“I can’t believe a playground is charging £16 per child and £12 per adult.

“It looks fab but that is really overpriced.”

Louise Chandler said: “Only for two hours, I was like errr no thank you.”

Another mum – named Catherine – said: “£12 per adult?

“Fair enough for the kids’ prices but adult prices are insane.

“It’s not like adults will come solo for their own enjoyment.”

Yet Paul Wanwaring said: “It looks incredible.

“Yes it’s pricey but a family to the movies is about the same.

“People spend money on what they choose.”

Adventure Play is just a stones’ throw from Wills and Kate’s home in the Berkshire town and also Windsor Castle.

The Prince and Princess of Wales moved to Windsor with their three children Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, eight and five-year-old Prince Louis last summer.

Millions of Brits have been struggling to pay their bills for months due to sky-high inflation and soaring interest rates causing supermarket prices and mortgages to increase in price.

A Windsor Great Park spokesperson said: “Opening Tuesday 11 July, tickets for Adventure Play in Windsor Great Park are now on sale.

“Book online in advance only, and park for free with your Adventure Play entry ticket.

They added: “Adventure Play is a unique, hand-crafted adventure playground at Windsor Great Park.

“Hidden within the woodland next to The Savill Garden, you’ll discover a fascinating world of walkways, slides, sculptures and treehouses.

“But this is not just for the children.

“Whether they want to climb among the trees or explore the amazing giant acorns, you can be right there, feeding their imagination and watching their confidence grow.

“Because this is play like you remember it – getting close to nature, challenging the body and stimulating the senses.

“All are welcome, whatever their age, need or ability.“

When asked about the pricing, Windsor Great Park said they will always listen to feedback and keep prices under review.

Proceeds from all ticketed attractions in Windsor Great Park go towards the running and maintenance, which is part of The Crown Estate.

Net profits from The Crown Estate are returned to The Treasury for public spending.
