A driver is under investigation after he allegedly caused a multiple vehicle pile-up after crashing a £600,000 McLaren into a tree and abandoning it on the roadside.
In total, four vehicles were involved in the accident, which took place on a main road on Saturday night (18 November).

The incident reportedly unfolded when the flame-red 720S coupe slammed into the back of a Ford Fiesta.
The impact, in turn, caused the Ford to collide with a Toyota Etios and a parked Chevrolet Onix, according to local press.
The force of the collision also caused the sports car to veer onto the roadside and come to an abrupt stop against a tree.
According to police, the McLaren driver fled the scene in Campo Grande, Brazil.
His lawyer turned up at the accident site a short while later to offer explanations to the other drivers and officers.
According to Brazil’s Foundation Institute of Economic Research, the McLaren abandoned at the scene is worth over 3.6 million BRL (£589,000) locally.
It did not sustain significant damage in the crash.
As the driver failed to prove he was the owner, the authorities towed the McLaren from the scene to a police pound.

It has number plates from Balneário Camboriú, which lies nearly 600 miles away from Campo Grande.
The pile-up left one person with minor injuries.
Relatives took them to a health facility to receive treatment for cuts and scrapes.
Police are investigating the case as suspected bodily injury by negligence and damage.
The driver’s identity has so far been withheld.
