His crime took place in the early hours of 8 March 2018.
The court in San Isidro, Argentina, heard how he touched a 15-year-old’s private parts through her clothing.
A complaint was filed in September 2019 and both the victim and the prosecutor asked for two-and-a-half years in prison.
Pettinato, 31, was given a lesser punishment because he had no criminal record and was already receiving treatment.
His trial featured written testimony from the neurologist Melchor Rodrigo, who was Pettinato’s doctor and therapist.
Rodrigo died in May 2022 under strange circumstances, as reported on Need to Know.
He and Pettinato were having dinner in a flat in Buenos Aires when it caught fire.
Pettinato is believed to have had seven operations to achieve a nose identical to MJ’s.
He almost died after developing an infection following his last rhinoplasty.
