A woman went to the doctor’s with abdominal pain and was told she had a giant tumour – and was four months pregnant.
Marilinda Gerónimo Pablo began feeling discomfort in her belly three years ago and noticed her tummy was growing larger every day.
Eventually, she started having difficulty breathing and decided to go to the doctor.

The 41-year-old was stunned when medics told her she had a giant ovarian tumour.

And she received a further surprise when they told her she was also 19 weeks pregnant.
Mum-of-five Marilinda was admitted to hospital on 1 April, as reported on Need to Know.
Tests confirmed the mass measured 30-35cm (12-14in) and was covered by a thick capsule with several adhesions to the nearby tissue.
She was taken for emergency surgery to remove it because it was preventing the foetus from growing and turning the pregnancy high-risk.

In a gruelling op, the medics managed to resect the tumour without any ruptures.
A subsequent study confirmed it was a benign endometrioma – a large, fluid-filled cyst – weighing more than 22lb (10kg).
Marilinda from El Jocotillo, a village in La Libertad, Guatemala, thanked her surgeons, telling local media: “Thank God for all the help I received.
“Honestly, I have no way to repay them, but may God bless them because I had no money.
“Thank God everything turned out well.”

Marilinda was discharged from the hospital in Quetzaltenango after spending three weeks under observation.
Her husband has since gone to the USA in a bid to give his family a better future.
The Hospital Regional de Occidente said in a statement on 9 April: “We ensured the patient can continue her recovery and pregnancy, thanks to this procedure, the timely intervention, and the great professionalism of our medical and paramedical team.”
Marilinda’s baby will be delivered by Caesarean section in August.
