A dad was injured and could have been killed by an exploding smoke bomb at his baby-to-be’s gender reveal party.
Footage shows blue smoke filling the air around expectant couple Dayane Figueiredo and Carlos Henrique.
Seconds later, a huge fireball engulfs 39-year-old Carlos’s head and the whoops of those present instantly turn to screams.

Luckily, Carlos emerges from the haze moments later and appears fine.
The drama unfolded in Linhares, Brazil on Sunday (19 May), when one of the smoke bombs exploded near his face.
He sustained minor burns to his head, as reported on Need To Know.
He visited a pharmacy, but didn’t need hospital treatment.
The blast went off a whisker from Dayane, 32, but luckily the flames didn’t reach her.
Carlos said: “Everything was going according to plan, but then the explosion happened.
“I’m still trying to understand how God was so good that I came out unharmed and nothing serious happened to me, my wife or anyone else there.”
At the moment of the blast, Carlos’ instinct was to protect his wife, who is five-months pregnant.
He said: “I instinctively moved to pull my wife, who was right beside me, out of the way.
“From the video, you can see the explosion was about to hit her, but I managed to move her.
“That’s when I got burns on my neck, head and ear.”
This was the first gender reveal party for Dayane and Carlos, who already have three children.
The idea came from their eldest daughter, 17-year-old Isabela and about 15 guests were at the event at their friend’s house.
Dayane told local media: “It was a huge scare.
“I didn’t realise what was happening.
“I had my back turned, so didn’t see anything, I just felt the heat.
“We only understood what really happened when we saw the videos later, at the time we were confused and didn’t know what was going on.”
Luckily, the scare hasn’t affected her pregnancy.
Dayane said: “The pregnancy is going really smoothly.
“We’re starting to prepare the little room and clothes.
“His siblings were a bit scared, but they’re counting down the days until Aquiles arrives.
“Everyone is very excited.”
Dayane hopes the video will serve as a warning to others.
She said: “It was terrifying. I never imagined this could happen and had no idea of the danger.
“We decided to share it to raise awareness and help prevent it from happening to others.”
