A falling coconut has killed a mother in front of her five-year-old daughter.
Lívia Loise Moura Barbosa, 35, was driving in her car with her child when she stopped to clear a fallen branch from the road.
While she was removing the object, a coconut fell from an overhead palm tree and hit the young mum on the head.

Her daughter remained in the car and was unharmed, but sadly, saw her mother fatally injured by the falling fruit.
Moura was taken to a nearby hospital in Porto de Pedras, in north-eastern Brazil, in a critical condition.
The incident took place on Tuesday 18 June, with the mum sadly succumbing to her injuries the next day (19 June) after suffering a traumatic brain injury.
The local council said in a statement: “We would like to express our most sincere condolences to the victim’s friends and family.
“We hope they can find some comfort while overcoming this irreparable loss.”
Following her death, Moura’s husband claimed he saw a man pruning the palm tree at the time of the incident.
Yesterday, the police confirmed that they have opened an investigation to establish if the coconut fell naturally or whether it was caused by someone trimming the tree.
The investigation into the victim’s death is ongoing.
Prior to her death, Moura ran a food and drinks company with her husband in Porto de Pedras, as reported by Need To Know.
