A travel influencer has shared the most beautiful Locations to visit if you’re going for a road trip in the UK – leaving social media users mesmerised.
Steph Robinson, who has over 140,000 followers, took to Instagram to share her top Locations; from “serene landscapes” in Cumbria to a remote roadside stop in the Devon countryside.
The influencer, perhaps better known as the @Geordie_Hiker, loves hiking and wild camping but on this occasion, chose a different mode of transportation.

Jumping into an electric car, she drove 742 miles over three days – setting out from her home in Whitley Bay, Newcastle – to find some of the best views in the country.
“I’m not wasting any time this summer, I want it all. Hikes, walks, drives, lake days, camping, I’m outside,” said Steph.
Social media users have been left mesmerised by the gorgeous landscape, with many reminded why a staycation can be just as good as a trip to sunny Spain.
“Beautiful views on a long journey,” said one person.
“Added to my trip wish list,” added someone else.
“Some unreal places there!,” said another fan.
“Beautiful views on a long journey,” added Suzanne.
Mel said: “Looks lush.”
“Class,” added someone else.
Many Instagram users were also shocked that the influencer was able to make such a lengthy journey in an electric car, with Steph driving a Škoda Enyaq 85.
“Can’t believe this can all be done in an EV!!,” said Jess.
“How easy was recharging your car on a long trip,” asked one person, to which Steph replied, “I was actually surprised at how easy it was to charge and how many EV charging points there was all over the country! The battery lasts longer than I initially thought with over 300 miles until the next charge. I also downloaded an app that helped me see where all the charging points were.”
She was keen to show how brilliant travelling can be in Britain – and just how many gorgeous Locations there are at home – as well as dispel any fear around using an electric vehicle for longer distances.
Steph added: “I can sometimes be apprehensive about going on long car journeys, but I found it quite relaxing in the fully electric Škoda Enyaq 85, and I was surprised by how many EV chargers there were along the way!
“My charging breaks were the perfect excuse for exploring new areas and getting steps in before hitting the road again.
“I came across some beautiful walks in places that I never knew existed.
“Travelling around the UK has never been easier or more enjoyable!”
SIX OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ROAD TRIP STOPS IN THE UK, ACCORDING TO STEPH
Coed y Brenin, Wales
Among Steph’s road trip stops was Coed y Brenin forest in Wales, which is known for being a superb mountain biking spot.
You can hire an electric bike on site or head onto one of the three walking trails to see the incredible site for yourself.
There’s also a waterfall to marvel at, if you need a rest.
Bovey Castle, Dartmoor National Park
Deep in Dartmoor National Park, you’ll find a neo-Elizabethan manor house.
It was built by the son of WH Smith and Viscount Hambleden in 1890 on a plot of land stretching across 5,000 acres.
The property has since served many purposes, including becoming a convalescent home for officers during WWI and a military hospital during WWII. More recently, it is an award-winning hotel.
While the building may have changed over time, the natural surroundings are just as mesmerising as they’ve always been.
Penrith, Cumbria
A market town in Cumbria’s Eden Valley, Penrith is a welcoming town with plenty of beauty.
Aside from the nearby nature Locations, like Whinfell forest, there is a well-known man-made masterpiece, too.
The town is known for Penrith Castle, which dates back to the 14th Century.
Brougham Castle and Aira Force Waterfall are other stops to add to your road trip map while you’re in the area.
Honiton, Devon
Devon is one of the most picturesque areas in the UK, so you’ll struggle to choose just one Location to visit.
But you’re in a car, so why not hit up several?
Steph went to Honiton, a small market town and civil parish best known for two things: lace and pottery.
If that’s not quite your jam, you can also find many natural attractions such as Becky Falls or the Jurassic Coast, to name but two.
Ullswater, Lake District
The second largest lake in England, Ullswater is nestled in Lake District National Park.
Expect glorious mountain scenery with many walking and hiking trails to choose from.
Holiday-goers who would rather see the sights from the water can rent a boat or go on a cruise in the area.
This was also Steph’s favourite spot.
The Shard
Okay, it’s not a nature spot but the Shard is one of the most well-known buildings in the capital’s skyline.
And it offers unparalleled views of London from the top.
After you’ve had your fill of Mother Nature’s marvels, swing by the Big Smoke.
