A tragic passenger on the flight that killed 62 people sent messages to her family saying she was “scared” of the “old” plane.
Rosana Santos Xavier, 23, was on the VoePass passenger plane that crashed in the state of São Paulo in Brazil, killing everyone on board, on 9 August.
She had expressed her concern about the ATR 72-500 in the family chat group shortly after boarding, as reported by Need To Know.

“I’m so scared of this flight, I swear, it’s an old plane,” Rosana wrote.
“There’s a broken seat, it’s chaos.”
The 23-year-old’s mum, Rosemeire dos Santos Xavier, told her to read a Psalm to calm her nerves.
But she says deep down, she had a bad feeling.
A short while later, Rosemeire saw on the news that a plane had crashed.
The twin-engine turboprop was flying from the southern state of Paraná to São Paulo when it came down 80km (50 miles) north-west of the city in the town of Vinhedo.
Rosemeire told local media: “I panicked. I started running around the house screaming.”
Rosana was heading back to her home in Franco da Rocha near São Paulo, Brazil, after a work trip.
She worked from home but attended meetings every two months in Toledo, near the airport of origin in Cascavel.
Her mum described her as a hard worker and the family’s breadwinner.
She said: “She helped with the household shopping and had bought her own trolley.
“Everything she had was for me, my husband, and my girls.
“She only thought about us. Her money was always to help out at home.”
Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency said on Friday that the aircraft was manufactured in 2010 and had valid registration and airworthiness certificates.
