A teenage singer who won Ballad of the Year has been killed in a hit-and-run.

Several people found Adriana, 19, lying in a roadside ditch and called the emergency services.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene but there was nothing they could do.
Police said when the teen’s sister arrived at the roadside she suffered a panic attack and had to be tended to by medics.
Police were able to track down and identify the driver through CCTV footage.
He was arrested later that day.
The 20-year-old man and his victim were not known to each other.
He could face charges of manslaughter and failure to render assistance.
The horror unfolded on an access road of the Autovía A-6 near Torrelodones, north-west of Madrid, Spain.
Initial investigations suggest Adriana walked onto the access road to reach a nearby bus stop.
The teen was from El Salvador but was living in Torrelodones with her sister.
Police sources said: “A sister of the deceased arrived at the scene and, upon learning of what had happened, suffered an anxiety attack.
“And she had to be treated by Summa (Madrid Emergency Medical Service) paramedics and psychologists.”
Mojica’s 2023 single Oportunidad, which means “Opportunity”, has 25,000 views on YouTube.
It won her the Ballad of the Year award at the last Premios Música 503, which honour Salvadoran Music.
Mojica was also an actress.
She made her stage debut in the musical Urinetown produced by the Black Coyote theatre company in 2022.
She went on to star in Grease before embarking on her music career.
Her latest single Perdida, which means “Lost”, was released in April.
Torrelodones mayor Almudena Negro said: “Shocked by the death of our young neighbor Adriana Isabel in a hit-and-run.
“My deepest condolences to her family and friends during these very difficult times. Rest in peace.”
