A 14-year-old girl has sustained severe injuries after being attacked with a suspected acidic substance at her school in West London.
The incident occurred at Westminster Academy in Westbourne Park on Monday afternoon, leaving the teenager hospitalized with injuries that could potentially alter her life.
The Metropolitan Police are conducting urgent investigations to track down those responsible for the attack.

Along with the 14-year-old, a 16-year-old boy was also injured but is reported to have non-life-threatening wounds.
Additionally, a 27-year-old staff member was treated in hospital but has since been discharged.
In response to the incident, two police officers who were present at the scene were taken to the hospital as a precaution after feeling unwell.
The police had been alerted by a school employee who flagged them down on Alfred Road at approximately 16:40 BST.
London Fire Brigade, including hazardous materials specialists, also responded to ensure the area was safe.
While the exact substance used in the attack is still being analyzed, the police currently believe it to be acidic.
In the aftermath, Westminster Academy has been temporarily closed, with students attending classes remotely and most staff working from home.
An open morning event for prospective Year 6 students has been canceled.
Multiple crime scenes remain active as investigations continue. Authorities are working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.
