Terrified homeowners were forced to climb onto car roofs after boiling water flooded a residential street.
In a video shared on social media, steaming water can be seen bursting out of a pipe.
One vehicle can be seen with its hazard lights flashing and as the cameraman gets closer, an elderly gentleman can be seen standing on the bonnet of his car.

Another man appears to climb out of his car window and onto the roof.
The person filming can be heard saying: “It’s an apocalypse.”
The post was captioned: “A 70-year-old man was caught in a hot water flood caused by a utility accident.
“Trapped after a collision with a taxi, he escaped by climbing onto his car’s roof and then to a nearby truck but suffered burns to his legs.
“Doctors noted he was fortunate.
“The taxi’s passenger and driver remained hospitalised.”
The video was filmed in St. Petersburg, Russia, after an underground heating pipe ruptured, as reported by Need To Know.
It flooded the streets with boiling water yesterday (Tuesday 26 November), injuring three people and leaving dozens of homes without heat.
The incident occurred at around 3 am in the Krasnoselsky district, affecting an area of 2,000 sq metres.
The city’s heating grid operator has also said that the pipe, which was “worn out”, had been planned to undergo repairs next year.
According to reports, the same pipe has burst multiple times in recent years, including incidents in 2013, 2017 and 2021.
While Russia isn’t likely to flood often, this comes after a dam burst in April of this year.
It was Europe’s third-longest river burst through a dam, flooding at least 6,000 homes and forcing thousands of people to flee.
More than 4,000 people, including 885 children, were evacuated in Orsk as swathes of the city of 230,000 in the Orenburg region were flooded.
Local officials claimed the dam in Orsk was built for a water level of 5.5 metres (18 feet) yet the Ural River rose to 9.6m (31.5ft).
