A fugitive has attempted to escape the clutches of the law with an escape plan inspired by Santa Claus – and promptly got stuck inside a chimney.
Robert Langlais went on the run with another male suspect after officers executed a search warrant of their house.
The pair fled from the home using the rooftop.

The other suspect leaped onto a parked car, managing to successfully escape.
Meanwhile, Langlais, aged 33, had a more festive idea as he decided to crawl inside a chimney to hide.

In a chaotic clip, a witness approaches a police officer in the street and tells him that he heard someone screaming while out walking his dog.
The bystander then revealed that he saw the runaway go down a chimney of a nearby home.
Other members of the Detectives of the Community Action & Suppression Team (CAST) in the area were alerted of the situation.
They sounded shocked and in disbelief when they learned that Langlais was in the chimney, with one person saying, “How did he do that?”, with the officer replying, “I don’t know”.
The team, who are part of the City of Fall River Police Department in Massachusetts, went inside the house to investigate.
They then climbed onto the roof with their torches and walked over to the chimney before shouting “Show us your hands”.
One of the officers shone his torch inside to reveal Langlais squashed inside the tight space.
Unable to free him, the detectives called for assistance from the Fall River Fire Department and the emergency medical services.
In the end, the operation to rescue Langlais required several men.
After his Santa-inspired move, the suspect was transported to a local hospital to be checked but was cleared free of injury.
He was then arrested and taken into custody.
Langlais was found to be in possession of Class A drugs, Class B drugs and a slew of charges from outstanding warrants, as reported by Need To Know.
Also present at the scene was a third suspect, Tanisha Ibay, who was arrested on charges of possession of Class A and possession of Class B drugs.
The 32-year-old however caused less of a scene and did not attempt to escape.
