But there are counter claims that Mr Mosa just fell.
The two were said to have engaged in a row just moments before, with the director criticising the president for suggesting that somebody take over a position.
Aníbal serves as the president of Blanco y Negro S.A. board concessionaire, which manages the Club Social y Deportivo Colo-Colo, based in Macul, Chile.
He had put someone’s name forward to take over the position of Chief of Operations, which annoyed members of the board.
After the heated exchange became violent, Aníbal made his way to a nearby hospital soon after.
According to local media, he was left limping after allegedly being kicked to the ground by Mr Cortés.
He called Carabineros, the local authorities, to file a complaint and verify his injuries after what took place, as reported by Need To Know.
Since the fight at the David Arellano Monumental Stadium, Mr Cortés has since spoken out in an interview with local press.
He has denied the claims regarding his aggressive behaviour towards Aníbal.
Some members of the board have suggested that the pair did not come to blows and that Aníbal stumbled and fell to the floor.
It has not yet been confirmed whether the local authorities are investigating the incident.
