A kitten has been saved after it fell into an asphalt bucket and became trapped inside.
The baby cat may have been stuck for up to two days.
It fell into the bucket by accident, where it became soaked in chemicals which caused severe burns on its skin.

A heartbreaking video showed it lying inside, submerged in asphalt which its body stuck to.

The kitten was weak and looked frightened, as a shovel was used to carefully free the animal.
Chen Shujuan, who runs the Happy Dog Stray Association, and a team rushed the feline to an animal hospital with 90% of its body covered in asphalt.
The cat’s fur, which is light grey in colour, was completely black as a result.
Staff at the hospital spent six hours cleaning the cat, as reported by Need To Know.
Chen revealed that five buckets of canola oil were still ‘not enough’ to clean the cat.
“The cat was covered with 90% of thick asphalt,” Chen said.
“It can only be cleaned with a bucket of canola oil.
[We’re currently using five buckets of oil and three packs of corn powder.
“It is not enough.

“It has been soaked and cleaned for more than four hours.”
After the cat’s rescue, Chen revealed that the kitten was being treated with an oxygen thermostat.
The cat was cleaned again a day later last Monday (17 Mar) so that the remaining asphalt could be removed.

The kitten suffered painful-looking chemical burns.
After being discovered in Miaoli Garden, Taiwan, the cat still remains in the animal hospital under the care of the Happy Dog Stray Association.
Last Thursday (20 Mar), the cat could be seen slowly eating some food, as Chen revealed that it had finally started to eat.
The kitten was eating food from a spoon, and being given medicine from a syringe.
Her fur has been restored back to its grey colour, and its eyes look much brighter as she continues to be treated so that she can recover.
