The two men, believed to be members of the criminal group the Gulf Clan, then launched the explosive device at their vehicle.

Both suspects were killed in the ensuing gunfight with officers.
One of the slain attackers was listed on the department’s Most Wanted list, according to reports.
There were rewards of up to £17,641 (COP 100 million) for information on his whereabouts.
Meanwhile, three police officers were injured in the street attack.
During the chaos, two off-duty police officers heard the explosion from their nearby homes where they were relaxing.
Without thinking, they donned their bulletproof vest and service weapons and headed outside in their pyjamas.
One of the women wore flip-flops, and the other entered the fray while barefoot.
They reportedly helped to provide cover for an injured colleague on the ground, as reported by Need To Know.
Both cops then helped to cordon off the area and provide security while the three injured officers received first aid.
One of them was also seen helping to carry a wounded officer onto the back of a small van.

Their actions were praised by officials following the attack in Remedios located north-west of Medellín, in Colombia, on Friday (25 Apr).
State governor Andrés Julián Rendón said: “What courage those two women had.
“They went out there with everything they had.”
After 18 uniformed cops were injured in multiple gang attacks in recent weeks, the governor called for a show of strength in the face of rising violence.

He said: “We must appeal to the courage and dedication of our soldiers and police officers to protect the integrity, lives, and honour of the people of Antioquia.”
