An influencer has split with her boyfriend after his “wild” ways became too much.
Débora Porto, a body-positive content creator with over two million followers on Instagram, is known for sharing intimate details of her life online.
The 35-year-old has hit headlines in the past for speaking about her funky diets and relationship qualms.
But her latest situation is quite a unique one.

She recently had to break up with a suitor – who referred to himself as an “urban wild man” – due to his unconventional habits.
“He was deodorant-free and only showered once a week,” Débora told Need To Know.

“At first, I found it intriguing, but eventually, it became a problem.
“He believed the body should self-regulate without interference from chemicals.
“His connection with nature was interesting, but over time, his habits started to affect our relationship.”
According to Débora, the term “urban wild man” describes people who embrace radical naturalist practices in daily life and avoid modern hygiene routines as much as possible.

In her ex’s case, this meant not using deodorant, showering infrequently, and following a strict vegan diet.
She said: “He would only shower once a week and avoided any hygiene products he considered artificial.
“It was a lifestyle philosophy for him, but the strong odour and lack of basic self-care became a major issue.

“It was really hard to be around him in closed spaces.
“He also had very unusual habits.
“For example, he didn’t believe in using conventional furniture – he slept on a mat on the floor and thought beds were an unnecessary luxury.
“He’d always encourage me to do the same.

“He believed the body needed discomfort to stay strong.
“It felt like camping… but indoors.”
Débora said her ex also didn’t use any industrialised products.

She said: “No soap, no shampoo, no toothpaste – he made everything with homemade recipes.
“Sometimes he’d go days without brushing his teeth because he believed the body self-regulates.
“He also refused to clean the house with any kind of chemical, so everything was wiped with just water and a cloth — and not even that often.

“It really started to bother me, especially the constant feeling of dirtiness.”
And sometimes he took the “wild” part to extremes.
She said: “He believed people should reconnect with nature in a deep, physical way.
“He would lie in the wet soil.

“He’d also hug trees and walk barefoot for hours.
“One time he came home covered in mud because he had rolled in the dirt to release stored energy.”
While Débora respected her ex boyfriend’s personal choices, she found it too hard to manage on a daily basis.

And it also started effecting their love life.
The influencer, from Brazil, added: “In the beginning, it was intense because everything felt so new and out of the ordinary, and I was curious.
“But over time, the lack of hygiene started to get in the way.
“I didn’t feel comfortable with the smell, the constant sweat.
“We naturally grew distant. The desire just faded.”
