A model claims a saucy act in a hospital bed helped during the recovery from her life-changing accident.
Mercedes Valentine spent an entire month bed-bound after a horrific motorbike crash.
Her partner Mark, 34, worked at the very hospital where she was admitted as a patient, which allowed him to tend to her every need while on shift – including her sexual pleasure.

The 25-year-old model was left with four broken ribs as well as a broken nose, skull and shoulder, a smashed eye socket and a shattered pelvis.

While in the hospital, she says she pleaded with her partner to fulfil an X-rated request to ease the pain.
“It’s good for you to have some intimacy, even when you’re broken,” said Mercedes from Brighton, who has over 250,000 followers on Instagram, @mercedesthedancerxo.
“Mentally, the pleasure was really good for me.

“It was tough being stuck in bed so being able to have a sexual moment with my boyfriend felt amazing.
“I felt really cheeky about what we did but I have needs.
“I can’t say for certain that it helped the pain but it helped distract me from the situation I was in.”
The masturbation session was not the only unusual interaction in Mercedes’ patient room.

Aside from providing sexual pleasure, Mark was a dedicated nurse to his girlfriend.
He would wake up at 5am every day to clean her, change her bedding and make sure she took the correct medication at the right time.
Mercedes and Mark had only been dating for a month before the accident that took place last summer.

He met her parents for the first time at the hospital.
Mercedes said: “Mark hadn’t met any of my family before the hospital.
“The first time he met them all was beside me with my face split open.
“So, that was a bit awkward!

“He spent a month going home to look after my dogs, then bringing me dinner and organising my evening meds.
“Mark was fully committed to being my full-time carer.
“My injuries were severe and I was scared about the future.
“Mark was amazing, he told me that if I ended up becoming a wheelchair user or if I didn’t get my normal strength back, he wouldn’t leave my side.
“He was my rock through it all, so when I asked him to pleasure me in the hospital bed he was more than happy to help.”

The horrific crash has deeply impacted Mercedes, leaving her with everlasting scars from her many surgeries.
After she was discharged, the model slowly began to put the pieces of her life back together.
She was flooded with questions from the outside world and so decided to openly share her story.
Mercedes said: “The mental impact that the accident and recovery has had has been very draining.
“When I first returned to social media, people kept commenting on my appearance – asking me if I was putting on weight or bulking, and why I had a ‘bug eye’.

“I wanted to share my story because I don’t like hiding things.
“The pelvis surgery was the hardest.
“It left my insides upside down, so my coil is now upside down.
“When the pelvis broke, all of the ligaments and everything inside broke too, hence why my uterus did a 180.

“So there’s a very big screw at the back and a little plate at the front.
“The scar from that operation is also my biggest one, I really don’t like seeing it.
“But I am glad and lucky to be alive.”
