A BMW was left marooned on a flooded road after a heavy downpour leaving commuters stuck for three hours.
Brits soaking up the sunny skies were caught off guard when the heavens opened drenching parts of the nation.
Commuters with their windows down were dealt a tough journey home after the rain flooded the road bringing traffic to a halt.
Victoria Read, who was making her way home from work on the A41 near Brent Cross, north London, was stuck.

The rain took place Monday evening (12 May).
The BMW had to be pushed to safety.
The London Fire Brigade were called to the scene to pump the water, clearing the way for some disgruntled commuters.
Victoria, captured the shocking moment on camera, joining other motorists who got out of their cars to stand and watch the events unfold.
“We get a little bit of rain in this country and look what happens,” Victoria told Need To Know.
“I was stuck there for three hours.”
She claimed: “The BMW tried to go through and didn’t make it.”
Members of the public were left shocked by the footage.
Marc Lucas said: “Always a BMW.”

Oscar said: “My God, again. Always happens here.”
Another said: “Happens all the time there.”
One said: “Every year the same part of the road floods, you think the council will do something about it as it is a major road.”
Another added: “I was stuck there for three hours tonight.

“Kind bus driver and others turned us all around and down a side road to get to M1.”
The London Fire Brigade has been approached for a comment.
