A trucker tragically lost his life in an inferno when his lorry overturned in a tunnel in a Brit holiday spot.
The horror unfolded on Friday (9 May) when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then caught fire.
The lorry, which was transporting steel tubes, overturned onto its side and trapped the driver in the cabin.

He may have lost control of the vehicle after a possible tyre blow-out, according to local media.
The impact caused the fuel and other flammable materials that the lorry was carrying to ignite, as reported by Need To Know.
The closed space intensified the fire, filling the 800 m-long tunnel near Torrevieja, in Spain’s Costa Blanca, with flames and smoke.
A plume of thick, black smoke coming out of the end of the tunnel was reportedly visible for miles.
Tragically, the 55-year-old trucker from Valencia Province was dead when the first responders arrived.
The accident in Pilar de la Horadada affected another lorry, whose driver was fortunately able to escape on foot.
Firefighters from Torrevieja, Almoradí, Orihuela, and Elche were dispatched to the scene to evacuate the rest of the tunnel.
There were no further casualties, but long tailbacks ensued between Cartagena and Alicante.
The fire brigade was alerted at 9:56 am, the blaze was under control by 11:01 am, and by 11:57 am, it was completely extinguished.
The Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium said: “Our deepest condolences to the relatives of the driver who died in the serious accident that occurred today in the AP-7 tunnel in Pilar de la Horadada.
“The Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium tackled the blaze with up to eight units, mobilising six stations to bring it under control by around midday.”
