A British man was winched up to a helicopter after spending a terrifying night alone on a rock in the sea.
The 48-year-old reportedly got lost while tackling a hiking trail in a natural park.
Night fell, but – for reasons unknown – he only called the emergency services the next day.

The man was hiking – apparently alone – in the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park in Calpe, on the Spanish Costa Blanca.
After trying to find his way back, he became stranded last Wednesday (18 Jun), as reported by Need To Know.
The Peñón de Ifach is a limestone rock that rises 1,089ft above the sea and is linked to the coast by a narrow isthmus of land.
Because of the steep terrain, the Alicante Province fire service sent in a helicopter to try to locate him.
He was found within two hours of his call for help.
Footage shows how he was winched up to the chopper from a narrow ledge above a terrifying drop into the sea.
He was then flown back to Calpe, reportedly in good health.
The fire brigade did not reveal his name or nationality, but local media say he is British.
Calpe is popular with British tourists and has a large UK expat community, but it is not clear if the man was on holiday or lives there.
