A luxury catamaran was left a smouldering wreck after a fire mysteriously broke out on board.
The 69-foot-long vessel was docked in port when the blaze, for reasons unknown, began.
The emergency services were alerted to the fire at 1:30 am on Thursday (26 Jun).

Eleven fire crews from the surrounding area were dispatched to the scene immediately.
When they arrived, the yacht was burning brightly.
And a large column of smoke was rising above the Moll de la Pansa dry dock in Dénia, on Spain’s Costa Blanca.

It is just 55 miles – or an hour’s drive north east of Alicante – which is popular with holidaying Brits.
The Polish-flagged vessel had been taken out of the water at 5:10 pm the previous day (25 Jun).
No one was on board when the fire broke out, according to the catamaran’s skipper.
People on board nearby boats were evacuated as a precautionary measure, as reported by Need To Know.

The responding firefighters managed to put out the blaze before it could spread elsewhere.
A security guard was taken to a local hospital after suffering an abnormally fast heartbeat.
But he was discharged a short while later and was able to return to work at the port.
No one was injured in the ordeal, and authorities are now working to determine what caused the fire.

An Alicante fire brigade spokesperson said later on Thursday: “Since the early hours of this morning, our stations in Dénia, Benissa, and Benidorm have been working hard with up to five crews to extinguish the fire on this large vessel in Dénia’s port.
“Thanks to the swift intervention, the flames were prevented from spreading to other boats.”
