A woman has revealed how she lost almost 8lbs in just under two weeks – without turning to trendy ‘skinny jabs’ or crash diets.
Instead, Sin Yee Or – who goes by Sese – joined a brutal weight loss boot camp where her day-to-day life was more “military training” than wellness retreat.
The 29-year-old has previously competed in a bodybuilding competition, trimming down her body fat to boost muscle definition.

But after the competition, she fell into a cycle of binge eating and gained 30lbs in a matter of months.
Looking for a reset, Sese found the boot camp online and booked herself in without telling her friends or family.
“I dragged my suitcase there alone – I thought, ‘Why not give it a shot?’,” Sese told Need To Know.

“The second day, I was in so much pain I thought I wouldn’t make it.
“My whole body was sore from the workouts.
“It felt like my muscles were screaming.
“But by the end, I felt like a new person.
“More focused, energised, and finally happy with myself again.”
Sese spent 13 days at the camp – training intensely for 11 of those days and enjoying two rest days.
The programme cost her around £270 for four weeks but she left early after dropping from 147.7lbs to 139.7lbs – which is a healthy weight for her body type.
The routine was strict, with three workouts a day: morning cardio, afternoon weights and an evening spin class.
Food was equally controlled, with meals consisting mostly of vegetables and very little protein.
The camp allowed one rest day a week and while some participants skipped sessions or secretly snacked, most took it seriously.
Despite the physical strain, Sese found unexpected peace.
She said: “There were no distractions.
“No late-night snacking, no pressure to socialise, no FOMO [fear of missing out].
“I even organised my messy computer desktop and finally did filing I’d put off for months.
“I used to stay up all night, eat badly and feel terrible about myself.
“At the camp, I slept well, ate clean and had a proper routine.
“It was like hitting reset on my body and mind.
“I left feeling lighter, clearer and way more positive about myself.”
Happy with what she has achieved so far, Sese is already planning for her next boot camp, ideally somewhere with a beach view.
On social media, users were quick to react to her intense experience.
“So intense it looks like prison life. Good luck surviving it,” one person said.

Someone else added: “I really want to try this but it also looks terrifying”.
“Can you share more details please? Thank you,” asked another person.
Someone else added: “Would you be able to introduce it to us?”

“Where is it? How much for a month??” asked David.
Sese arrived on the evening of 18 May and left on the morning of 31 May at the camp in Humen, Dongguan, China.
