An exhausted seal pup found washed up on shore has been nursed back to health following a rescue mission.
The poor animal lay still on the beachfront, completely exhausted.
The seal did not react even when a group of intrigued kids reached out and prodded it.

Fortunately, carers were able to reach the pup in time and carry him to safety.
British Divers Marine Life Rescue medics who attended the scene at Brighton West Pier were able to provide the animal with fluids.
The seal, which has been named Fern, was then taken to the RSPCA Mallydams Wood Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre.

It was a busy day for medics at the BDMLR, who covered five separate rescue missions.
The poor pups across the UK were found underweight, dehydrated, and suffering from swollen muzzles.
Unfortunately, one out of the five animals sadly lost its life whilst being rushed to the vets for an assessment.
The other four saved seals are now receiving specialist care to get them back to top condition before re-entering the sea.
The influx of dehydrated seals washed up on Wednesday (13 Aug), as reported by Need To Know.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: “Fern was rescued from Brighton West Pier, where he was exhausted, underweight, and so weak he didn’t even react when children tried to touch him.
“This is why we urge everyone to keep their distance from seals on the beach.
“Getting too close can stress them out, cause harm and put you at risk too.”
A spokesperson for the BDMLR added: “It’s been a day of highs for our Medics across the UK.
Four common seal pups have been rescued and are beginning their rehabilitation journey, receiving specialist care to grow strong and healthy before returning to the wild.
“All are underweight, dehydrated, and suffering from swollen muzzles – signs that they needed help.
“Sadly, a fifth pup, en route to our SSRU, passed away before the vets could assess.
“While the outcome wasn’t what anyone hoped for, we celebrate the dedication and care our Medics gave in trying to help this young seal.”
