An ultra-rare original Apple computer, a historic Oscar statuette, and handwritten letters by some of history’s most iconic figures have fetched staggering sums at auction, raking in over £1.57 million.
The top-selling item was a fully operational original Apple One computer, complete with its rare byte shop wooden case, that raked in an eye-watering £351,928.05.
These versions of the Apple One are incredibly rare, with only nine known in existence.

RR Auctions hosted the Remarkable Rarities bidding war on 20 September, as reported by Need To Know.
Also up for grabs was a handwritten musical manuscript from legendary musician Wolfgang Mozart which sold for £157,463.46.

An Academy Award dating back to 1930 and presented to Clyde De Vinna for Best Cinematography in White Shadows in the South Seas was flogged for £92,606.89.
This particular award is noteworthy as since 1951, any Oscar winner must first offer their Oscar to the Academy for $1 (USD), and Oscars from before that are hard to come by.

The sale also featured several exceptional historical documents, including letters from Napoleon to his son for £64,780, a handwritten manuscript from Isaac Newton for £48,141 and a document signed by Sebastian Bach which ended up going for £92,573.98.
All in all, RR auctions ended up bringing in over £1,575,000. in sales.
