Over 53,000 illegal migrants are missing across the UK, an MP has claimed.
Rupert Lowe – who used to be chairman of Southampton – said he obtained the Home Office figures from a whistleblower.
The 68-year-old called on the Government to act to find and deport them.
Mr Lowe – who said the total figure stands at 53,298 – branded it a “national security emergency.”

He said: “I have obtained internal Home Office data detailing the number of missing illegal migrants, 53,298.
“This is referencing the ‘total absconder pool’.
‘Largely referring to the number of illegal migrants, once in the system, whose current whereabouts are unknown.
“A brave whistleblower has come forward, and I sincerely thank them for providing this crucial information.
“Tens of thousands of missing unvetted foreign men, all across the country.
“I am calling on the Home Secretary to urgently detail what steps are being taken to apprehend and then deport these criminals.
“This is a national security emergency, and must be treated as such.”
Mr Lowe was elected as MP for Great Yarmouth, Norfolk last year for Reform UK.
But he now sits as an independent and founded political organisation Restore Britain, as reported on Need To Know.
Brits were left outraged.
Mike Brookes said: “And it’s my guess that they will never be ’found’.”
Phillip Hancock added: “Crikey that’s an Army corps going on those numbers.”
John Law said: “And that doesn’t include the ones who landed themselves and disappeared.
“The true figure is probably in excess of a hundred thousand.”
Robert Ball joked: “If only we had some way of identifying people, like an ID card.”
Paul Gough quipped: “Thats more than the capacity at St James Park.”
David Jones said: “If they are missing does that mean they are no longer getting any benefits?”
Mr Lowe – who was chairman of Southampton from 1996 to 2006 then returning for a year – also claimed there are 736 foreign national offenders missing.
He said: “I have obtained internal Home Office data detailing the number of missing foreign criminals who have absconded before deportation, 736.
“Seven hundred and thirty six foreign national offenders who have been released from prison, and who have absconded before deportation.
“This is another national security emergency.
“I am calling on the Home Secretary to urgently update the British people on the true scale of this crisis.
“I will continue to fight for the truth.”
The Home Office has been approached for comment.
