Christmas is nearly upon us.
While there are still 17 days to prep for the moment family and friends descend for roast turkey, mushroom wellingtons and mulled wine galore on The Big Day, many people will be attending a dinner do or two – or more – before then.
And what is rule number one as a guest? Never show up empty-handed.
If you’re frantically trying to think of a nice and affordable present to bring along, we’ve got you covered.
Walker’s Shortbread has put together the ‘Ultimate Gift Bag‘ and it’s pretty excellent, because nothing says ‘I’m a festive Brit’ quite like biscuits.

Inside the fancy black tote, you will find an assortment of shortbreads including classics, mini fingers, chocolate chip, rounds and cute Scottie dogs, as well as a branded shortbread jar.
The gift bag costs £30 but if that’s a bit too steep for your budget, there are cheaper alternatives such as the festive bauble (£9) or the cranberry and clementine tube (£7.75).
Or go halves on the Deluxe Christmas Hamper, priced at £40, with another dinner guest.

If you want to be a really memorable guest, we also recommend tossing in a pack of the host’s favourite tea.
Earlier this year, Walker’s Shortbread also unveiled its luxury advent calendar, which had 24 windows loaded with the Scottish brand’s signature shortbread.
