Carriages on a train bound for Madrid derailed and crossed onto the opposite tracks, colliding with an oncoming train.
It is the country’s worst train crash in over a decade.
Lucas, known online as Merakio, suffered minor injuries in the accident, but managed to record footage of the immediate aftermath.
He told his 508,000 Instagram followers that him and his partner were evacuated from a carriage that was next to one of the most damaged ones.
The Argentine actor said: “Returning from Malaga to Madrid, near Cordoba, two carriages of our train derailed.
“There are many injuries. Vicky and I are fine, nothing happened to us.”
He shared two videos showing the rescue efforts and the scenes inside the carriage he was traveling in, capturing the tense atmosphere, as reported by Need To Know.
He said it all started with “some banging noises on the track”.
He added: “It was nothing unusual, but suddenly the noise increased.”
The influencer, who now lives in Spain, said “everything then happened like a movie”.

“Another train passed us and everything started vibrating much more, there was a jolt behind us and the feeling that the whole train was going to fall apart.”
He said the lights went out and they could hear the screams of injured passengers “who had been hit by suitcases”.
“Many of them had injuries from broken glass,” he added.
After coming to terms with the seriousness of the situation, he described the scene as something from a “horror movie”.
Rescue operations are ongoing and so far 39 people have been confirmed as dead.
The Spanish authorities have also launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility described the situation as “terrible.”
Prime minister Pedro Sánchez expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and said emergency crews are continuing to work in a coordinated manner in the area.
