An injured hiker with an ankle injury was left trapped on a mountain before being airlifted to safety by a helicopter.
What started out as a relaxing walk with a cinematic backdrop quickly turned into an intense rescue mission.
A hiker making their way down a mountain suffered an ankle injury, which left them unable to continue their descent.

The alarm bells were raised after they became stranded on Tryfan mountain, Wales, as reported by Need To Know.
Members of the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation sprung into action after receiving the callout.

Initial care was administered by the rescue party but it was clear on arrival that air support was needed.
Fortunately, a maritime coastguard helicopter arrived on the scene from St Athan on 8 May.
The casualty was carefully winched up to the chopper and flown to safety.

A stretcher party patiently waited for the injured hiker at Bochlwyd.
The rescue team at the scene then helped the remainder of the hikers down the mountain.
A spokesperson for the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation stated: “We’ve been busy again with four callouts over the weekend.
“A walker slipped and injured their ankle while descending from the summit.
“A hasty party arrived and provided initial care while a stretcher party waited at Bochlwyd.
“The casualty was winched up to a maritime coastguard helicopter from St Athan and dropped at base and the remainder of the group walked down with team members.
“Thank you to the RAF mountain rescue service and all our other partner agencies for their support.
“We hope our casualties are fit and well and back on the hill soon.”
