A father-of-two police officer was beaten to death after stepping in to break up a fight at a World Cup fan zone.
Christian Zedig had gone to watch the match between Norway and Ivory Coast on a giant screen on 30 June.
During the screening in Copenhagen, Denmark, a fight broke out, prompting the off-duty 32-year-old to intervene.

In the ensuing chaos, he was knocked to the ground by a single punch, believed to have landed on his jaw or neck.
When police arrived, they found Christian with life-threatening injuries.
He later died in hospital in Copenhagen.
Danish police launched a manhunt for the suspect and urged him to hand himself in, as reported by Need To Know.

The man surrendered to police on Friday (3 July) morning, was remanded in custody and denies any wrongdoing.
Christian – from Eksjö, Sweden – was on holiday in Denmark at the time of the attack. He leaves behind his wife and two daughters.
In an emotional online tribute, his wife wrote: “You were so excited to go to Copenhagen to watch Sweden play France on the big screen. You never got to see that match.
“Our children’s lives were turned upside down. Your life came to an end because of decisions made by others.

“Others decided that our children would grow up without the world’s best dad and that I would have to live the rest of my life without the world’s best husband.”
The suspect, who is in his thirties, has previous convictions for violent offences.
In 2017, he was convicted of attempted murder after stabbing another man and was sentenced to seven years in prison.
A minute’s silence was observed in Christian’s memory before the Brazil v Norway World Cup match was shown at the same venue on Sunday (5 July).
The investigation is ongoing.
