A five-year-old boy has died after being electrocuted by a metal structure on a beach.
Enrico Cândido passed away after coming into contact with the metal frame of a stall that hires out beach equipment such as chairs and umbrellas.
Other children ran to tell his mother what was happening and she was horrified to see him stuck to the metal frame.

She instinctively tried to pull him free and received an electric shock herself.
Bystanders then realised the danger and managed to separate Enrico from the structure.
The fatal accident took place at the river beach resort of Praia da Raposa in Tocantins State, Brazil, yesterday (16 Jul).
The youngster, described as a happy and lively child, was taken to the local health unit (UBS) in Tupiratins but could not be revived.
The police confirmed the cause of death as electrocution from the metal structure, as reported by Need To Know.

Officers are investigating the electrical setup of the stall and how it became live.
