A woman has been arrested after allegedly being caught on a home surveillance camera performing a sex act with her family dog.
Malia Elizabeth Nummerdor, 38, was charged with sexual activity involving animals following an investigation by police.
Detectives began probing the claims after discovering social media posts alleging that a woman had engaged in sexual activity with a pet.

Officers contacted the person behind the allegations and obtained sworn statements and digital evidence taken from a surveillance system inside the home in Charlotte County, Florida, as reported by Need To Know.
Nummerdor was interviewed about the footage on Tuesday (15 Sep).
According to the sheriff’s office, she confirmed that she was the woman shown and that the animal was her family’s dog.
Investigators said the footage showed her partially nude, with the animal positioned in a manner they believed was consistent with sexual activity.
Nummerdor denied that anything sexual had happened but allegedly could not give officers a consistent explanation for what the camera had recorded.
She then requested a lawyer, bringing the interview to an end.
Nummerdor was arrested in Port Charlotte and charged with sexual activity involving animals, which is a second-degree felony under Florida law.
She was being held at Charlotte County Jail on a bond of $35,000 (£25,800) at the time of the sheriff’s office announcement.
Sheriff Bill Prummell said: “There are only a few times in my career that I have been at a loss for words.
“This is one of those times.
“I simply cannot comprehend this behavior.
“No animal should ever be subjected to this kind of conduct, and you can be sure that we will take action when we learn about it here in Charlotte County.
“And then to smile in the mugshot?
“I don’t know what there is to smile about when you’ve been arrested for something as disgusting as this.”
Further details contained in the arrest affidavit, obtained by PEOPLE, allege that the footage was discovered by Nummerdor’s estranged husband, Erik.
Erik told a detective that he had installed two cameras inside the couple’s home because he wanted to find out who had been taking money from a coin container.
One was placed inside the bedroom and was allegedly visible, displayed a blinking red light and was known about by other members of the household.
The device continuously recorded footage in rolling intervals, overwriting older material.
While checking the recordings, Erik allegedly discovered footage showing his wife with the dog, named Ranger.
He supplied investigators with screenshots and allowed them to access a laptop containing the surveillance files, according to the affidavit.
A detective reported seeing a woman identified as Nummerdor naked from the waist down and positioned with the dog in a way allegedly consistent with sexual activity.
However, she allegedly claimed the cameras had been installed without her knowledge and that Erik had accessed her social media accounts to publish images and video.
She reportedly said the recordings dated from 2024 and alleged that Erik had previously threatened her with the footage.
The affidavit also alleges that Nummerdor appeared impaired during questioning and acknowledged being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
She has not been convicted of the charge.
