This is the brazen moment a thief swipes a fish and chip shop’s tip jar while oblivious staff work just inches away.
CCTV shows the hooded man, who is carrying crutches, leaning around a doorway and reaching for the glass jar of cash on the counter.
But his first attempt is foiled because staff had glued the jar down.

The man repeatedly tugs at it before eventually managing to prise it free and make off with the money.
Meanwhile, two members of staff can be seen busily working nearby, apparently completely unaware of what is happening.
The theft took place at Salt ’N Batter fish and chip shop in Ammanford, Wales, as reported by Need To Know.
A spokesperson for the shop said: “Another lowlife stealing staff’s hard-earned tips.
“My attention was focused on the work in front of me, and despite the noise of the work, I was also chatting with my colleague across from me.”
The incident comes amid concern over soaring levels of shoplifting across Britain.
Earlier this month, a laughing snatch-and-grab thief was filmed raiding a Greggs fridge before apparently turning back because he wanted crisps to go with his stolen sandwich.
Footage showed the man grabbing a sandwich and drink before heading towards the exit.
But he suddenly turned around and said: “Crisps, where’s the crisps?”
He then grabbed a packet from another display before running from the shop laughing.
The bizarre theft happened at a Greggs on Holloway Road in Islington, north London.
