Police are investigating the death of a social media star as aggravated negligent homicide after she lost consciousness while being given anaesthesia ahead of liposuction.
Olivia Oras, 27, died at Helsinki University Hospital in Finland on 3 September after being transferred from a private cosmetic surgery clinic.
The influencer reportedly lost consciousness after receiving local anaesthetic and premedication at Plastic Surgery Center in Helsinki ahead of the procedure.

An anaesthesiology specialist was called to the clinic before emergency services were contacted, according to local media.
Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding Olivia’s death, as reported by Need To Know.
The case has also raised questions over a reported delay in transferring her to hospital.
Local media reported that an ambulance arrived at the clinic but did not initially take Olivia to hospital.
Emergency services reportedly agreed to transport her following further requests from the clinic.
Helsinki University Hospital (HUS) said private hospitals are responsible for the care of their own patients and usually arrange transfers using private ambulance services.
However, private clinics can request assistance from HUS in urgent cases.
Plastic Surgery Center remains open, with appointments still available to book.
The clinic also removed staff profiles from its website following media reports of Olivia’s death.
It has previously faced scrutiny over its operations, with complaints filed with Finnish healthcare authorities.
Olivia first found fame as a teenager after launching her Instagram account at just 14.
Her life and relationship with social media later became the subject of the 2017 documentary The Perfect Selfie.
She leaves behind her partner, Oskar Komulainen.
