She returned to her account on 12 October, saying she had almost fully recovered and was determined to make the most of her second chance at life.
The influencer, who comes from Hunan province in central China, fell from a residential building in June 2025 and was rushed to the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University.

She survived the fall after hitting a tree and landing in bushes that cushioned the impact.
She suffered multiple fractures, bleeding inside her skull, cervical spine injuries and extensive damage to her internal organs.
Doctors performed 14 hours of emergency surgery to save her life, after which she spent over 50 days in intensive care.
Her right leg was amputated below the knee.

Her treating doctor, Xing Wei, said the outcome had exceeded expectations, with her other organ functions largely recovering.
But she experienced memory loss and temporarily struggled to speak and communicate.
Wan also suffered severe pain as her injuries healed, with reduced pain relief leaving her struggling to sleep.
She has spoken about reaching moments when she wanted to give up, crediting her family and medical staff with helping her through the darkest stages of her recovery.

Before the accident, she had around 100,000 followers on the Chinese social network Douyin where she shared clips of her singing cover songs.
Since her return, Wan’s following has swelled to around 304,000 and her comeback video went viral with over 2.5 million likes, as reported by Need To Know.
Reflecting on what she had learned, she said: “Suffering is not meant to destroy me, but make me stronger.”
“I can still walk to the places I want to go, and if I can’t walk, I’ll just call a taxi.”

Wan continues to carry out rehabilitation exercises every day and hopes to be fitted with a prosthetic limb soon.
She has also expressed gratitude to those who helped save her, saying her life no longer belongs only to her, but also to the people who stood by her for the last 16 months.
