An “evil cannibal”’s reign of terror has been brought to an end after allegedly slaughtering 38 people and eating their body parts over 15 years.
Moses Mujurizi has been branded his country’s worst serial killer following a 15-year murder and cannibalism spree that reportedly saw him end the lives of 38 people.
Among his long list of alleged victims were a pastor and eight members of his family, a witchdoctor and a 52-year-old woman who was slaughtered in front of her two grandchildren in the early hours of the morning.

Police say machete-wielding Mujurizi would target entire families, digging through the walls of their homes before butchering them and eating their body parts in a case that has shocked Uganda.
He is also accused of luring women with the promise of a relationship before killing them and eating their flesh.
Authorities are currently investigating whether Mujurizi – who they believe worked as a contract killer – committed the killings alone or whether he had accomplices.

Parading the suspect with bloodstained lips in a social media post on Monday (26 October), military chief Muhoozi Kainerugaba, 52, promised authorities would “definitely execute him” for his crimes.
He said: ‘’I am glad to inform our fellow citizens that the security forces have arrested the evil Mujurizi Moses.
“The worst serial killer and cannibal in Uganda’s history.
“He killed and ate 38 people between 2010 and 2025 in Masaka, Ibanda and Kazo.
“We will try him in public and definitely execute him.”
Police are said to have had multiple chances to put an end to the killer’s alleged bloodlust after Mujurizi was reportedly arrested on four previous occasions.
Mujurizi allegedly confessed to a string of murders under questioning, but managed to escape or bribe his way out, local reports say.
During his first arrest in 2009, he was found at a shrine and told cops he had killed 17 people.
But he had reportedly smuggled 100,000 Ugandan Shillings (£17.81) into the jail in his rectum, and used it to bribe an obliging officer.
Mujurizi’s alleged crimes spanned a huge area, with murders taking place in the central, southern and western parts of the country.
Victims were listed as living in the areas of Masaka, Sanga, Kalisizo, and Kyazanga.
Investigators reportedly recovered evidence from his home and are now looking into cold cases to identify more potential victims ahead of a trial.
