Story from Jam Press (Unlucky In Love) Pictured: Samson Dada. ‘I just can’t do it anymore:' Man swears off dating apps ‘for good’ after years of being ‘ghosted’ and ‘scammed’ A heartbroken man who appears to be perpetually unlucky in love has shared his dating woes – saying he will “never” use a dating app again. Samson Dada signed up to several websites last year in an attempt to find someone “genuine and kind”. Having been single for “pretty much” most of his life, the 32-year-old has now decided he is done with online dating for good. It’s been a fraught journey, to say the least, with Samson claiming he has been constantly “ghosted” and “scammed” by prospective dates. “I have been single pretty much all of my adult life,” Samson from Manchester, England, told What's The Jam. “I live alone and by nature, I am quite an independent-minded person who can comfortably pay my way and is quite domesticated, so dating has not been something that I have felt a great urge to do. “I wasn’t actively looking for love but signed up to see what it was all about. “I have not ever wanted to date someone for the sake of it – I have wanted to find someone genuine, kind and intelligent looking to date someone for the right reasons to support each other through good and bad times.“ Having signed up for multiple dating sites in the past, he claims he has had no luck at all, leaving more disappointed than when he started. He said: “ I briefly signed up to Bumble, but I had no luck finding suitable matches, so I decided to sign up for Tinder. “I have heard about the popularity of Tinder, so I was eager to find out why it appealed to my peers. “Dating was a way to get me out of my comfort zone – to help me do something a bit different.” Willing to try anything, Samson's acquaintances even tried to find him a match – which ended in “disaster”. A heartbroken man who appears to be perpetually unlucky in love has shared his dating woes – saying he will “never” use a dating app again.

“I have been single pretty much all of my adult life,” Samson from Manchester, England, told What’sTheJam.

“I live alone and by nature, I am quite an independent-minded person who can comfortably pay my way and is quite domesticated, so dating has not been something that I have felt a great urge to do.

“I wasn’t actively looking for love but signed up to see what it was all about.

“I have not ever wanted to date someone for the sake of it – I have wanted to find someone genuine, kind and intelligent looking to date someone for the right reasons to support each other through good and bad times.“

Having signed up for multiple dating sites in the past, he claims he has had no luck at all, leaving more disappointed than when he started.

He said: “ I briefly signed up to Bumble, but I had no luck finding suitable matches, so I decided to sign up for Tinder.

“I have heard about the popularity of Tinder, so I was eager to find out why it appealed to my peers.

“Dating was a way to get me out of my comfort zone – to help me do something a bit different.”

Willing to try anything, Samson’s acquaintances even tried to find him a match – which ended in “disaster”.

He said: “In October last year, I went on a blind date that had been sent up by some friends who took a sudden interest in my love life.

“The date turned into a counselling session when she admitted that she had exaggerated her work as a model and actress.

“In reality, she was working as a waitress in a theatre in the hope of networking with actors and actresses to help land her a role.

“The date turned into a disaster when I learnt that she had been paid by my friends to go on the date with me.

“Her words still ring in my ears today that she was only there to get a free lunch, and used that old cliché: ‘It’s not you, it’s me’.”

Swearing off dating apps for good, Samson now says he’ll never touch them again.

He added: “My New Year’s resolution now is to delete and stop using dating apps.

“It would be nice to meet someone but I will do it the old-fashioned way, not online.

“If dating happens, great, if not, that’s fine at least for now.

“I’d rather quit now than get hurt again.”
