The cockpit voice recorder from the doomed Voepass flight recorded screams inside the plane as it crashed.
Investigators have analysed nearly two hours of audio from the CVR of the ill-fated ATR 72-500 turboprop.
Co-pilot Humberto de Campos Alencar e Silva is reported to have asked the pilot what was going on when he realised the plane was losing lift.

Silva said it was necessary to “increase power” in a bid to stabilise the aircraft.
About a minute later, the plane hit the ground.
The recording, which hasn’t been released, reportedly ends with screams from inside the plane and the sound of the impact.
Investigators from Brazil’s Cenipa aviation accident investigation agency say it is difficult to make out the pilots’ conversation.
This is because of the proximity of the turboprop’s propellers to the cockpit.
They did not identify any sort of alarm – such as for a fire, electrical failure, or engine malfunction – in the audio.
As such, the cause of the crash cannot be ascertained from the recording alone.
The primary line of investigation is that ice formed on the wings, leading to a stall and a sudden loss of altitude.
A report on the case is due in about a month’s time, as reported by Need To Know.
All 62 people on board Voepass Flight 2283 died from multiple trauma when the plane crashed in Vinhedo, São Paulo State, on Friday (9 Aug).
