A shopper claims she found a slug in her M&S bagel – but all is not what it seems.
Rachel Hamill purchased a £2.50 bag of four bagels from the supermarket.
The 31-year-old was going to eat one after going to the gym.

As she was about to prepare her snack, she spotted a dark blob at the bottom of one of them
The accessories designer originally thought that it was a burnt part of the bagel.
On further inspection, the shopper claimed it looked like a dead slug.
The horrifying discovery left Rachel sick to her stomach.
The purchase was made at the Marks and Spencer’s in Sprucefield, Lisburn, near Belfast, Northern Ireland on Tuesday (15 Jul).
“I felt sick to my stomach,” Rachel told Need To Know.

“I originally thought it was a burnt part of the bagel or like a burnt part of something that had gotten onto the base somehow.”
Rachel added: “Some people say it looks like an onion.
Marks and Spencer insists it was not a slug.
It claims they think it was an onion.
An M&S spokesperson said: “We take food quality extremely seriously and our team is investigating with the supplier if the item in the bagel could be onion, which is handled on-site.

“We have had no other similar complaints about the same product.
“However, our customer services team has contacted the customer to offer a full refund.”
Rachel alleged: “It’s not an onion, it’s a slug.
“And a refund is not good enough.”
