London Underground passengers were reportedly forced to walk along the track after being stuck on the Jubilee line for nearly three hours.

Commuter Nadine Arbid claims the train ground to a halt due to electrical issues.

She and dozens of others were trapped between Westminster and Waterloo on Monday (1 Sep).

The 29-year-old and many others were allegedly told to wait before finally being evacuated from the sweltering carriages three hours later.

Nadine shared a clip of the experience to TikTok, which has gathered over 1.1m views so far.

“I took the tube from London Bridge because I was heading to Westminster to change onto the Circle line,” Nadine told Need To Know.

“Everything was fine at first, the train was running normally until midway between Waterloo and Westminster when it suddenly stopped.

“To be honest, that happens sometimes on the tube, so at first I thought it would just be a couple of minutes.

“But we ended up waiting more than 30 minutes without knowing what was happening.

“Eventually, the driver made an announcement over the intercom saying there was an electrical problem in another carriage.

“We were not given much detail but we saw an engineer passing through.

“After about 40 minutes, they tried to continue the journey towards Westminster, but the train stopped again and you could feel something was not right.

“The driver repeated the same message about needing to check things.

“By then, we had already been stuck for almost an hour and a half.

“It was rush hour, the carriage was hot and completely packed with people heading home from work.

“Then they told us the train would reverse back to Waterloo instead of continuing forward.

“But on the way back, the train broke down again and the electricity just shut off completely.

“For about an hour or more we had no updates at all, not even from the driver, because the power was out.

“Eventually, someone from TfL announced that we would be evacuated carriage by carriage.

“We had to walk along the tracks back to Waterloo.

“To be fair, the evacuation itself was very organised and safe, and we all managed to get back onto the platform without any issues.”

In the clip shared to social media, Nadine is sitting on the packed carriage alongside other passengers.

They start walking out of the tube, passing train staff, police and engineers.

Staff members are also seen handing out bottles of water.

Nadine, who is from France but lives in London, captioned the clip: “Hey can I get compensation for life for this PTSD event thanksssssss – london for life though.”

The video has 114,600 likes and 2,000 comments from users.
