Salmon costs £4.75 for a pack of two fillets at the supermarket.
He then darted off with his smelly loot.
It happened at the branch in Woodgrange Road, Forest Gate, east London yesterday (19 Jan) at 4pm.

One witness told Need To Know: “He made off with a large quantity of salmon in a matter of seconds.
“He was sweeping packs of fresh fish off the shelves and stuffing them rapidly into his bag.
“It was over so fast.
“He knew exactly what he wanted.”
Local Ken Gaunt fumed: “This is what our government just lets people do it.”

One joked: “Any for sale?”
The Met Police and Co-op have been approached for comment.
