An influencer dubbed “Grandma from Heaven” has died aged 106.
“Vó do Céu” passed away in hospital on Saturday (16 May) following a cardiac arrest.
She had been admitted days earlier after falling and hitting her head, prompting an outpouring of prayers and well-wishes on social media.

Vó do Céu had amassed 351,000 followers on her granddaughter Imaculada Moura’s Instagram account.
Imaculada regularly shared videos featuring her grandmother, capturing simple moments of family life and stories of ageing with warmth and care.

The clips went viral thanks to Vó do Céu’s spontaneity, easygoing conversations and the affectionate bond she shared with her granddaughter.
As Imaculada’s following grew, Vó do Céu became a familiar presence in her posts.
She was also known for her hearty appetite, with many videos showing her enjoying generous meals and clearing her plate.
In a post earlier in May, Imaculada revealed: “She likes rice, beans and pasta.”
Throughout their social media journey, her grandmother’s real name was never publicly disclosed.
By the time of her passing, Vó do Céu was followed by people across Brazil, as reported by Need To Know.

Her wake was held on Saturday in Quixadá, in north-eastern Brazil’s hinterland, where she was born and spent much of her life.
On Saturday, Imaculada wrote in a heart-wrenching post: “My little grandma fulfilled her mission here on Earth and today went to heaven.
“She’s now a little star – the most beautiful and perfect one of all to me.”
She added in a tearful video: “I want to thank you for everything you did for my grandma, for all your kindness.”
One follower commented: “Please know she was deeply loved and very well cared for.”
Another added: “I’m heartbroken knowing I won’t see any more videos of our dear grandma.”
