An influencer was hospitalised after crashing her car into a cow on a motorway.
Koniel Barrios was travelling on the Tuxpan–Tampico highway yesterday (14 Jun) when a cow suddenly crossed her path.
Shocking photos show the aftermath of the collision, with the car left mangled beyond repair and the animal lying dead at the roadside with a severe wound.
Koniel, who has tens of thousands of followers, shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed in Ozuluama, in Mexico’s Veracruz state, with a cannula in her hand.
She wrote: “I had an accident on the Tuxpan–Tampico motorway.
“Please be very careful on this road – cows have been crossing unexpectedly. It was only material damage, we’re okay!
“Thank you to everyone who has been calling us. God is definitely looking after us.”
Koniel, who is from Tampico but lives in Naranjos, reportedly tried to swerve to avoid the cow but did not have enough time.
She suffered bruises and physical discomfort following the impact, as reported by Need To Know.
Paramedics gave her first aid at the scene before she was taken to hospital for further assessment to rule out internal injuries.
She is reported to be out of danger and recovering.

She added: “We’ll get through this. I’m already being treated. Take good care of your family – God is good.”
On 21 May, a motorcyclist died after colliding with a cow on a bypass near the port of Veracruz.
