A pastor is accused of stabbing his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend during an argument over “some tools and a receipt” before fleeing the scene and hiding inside his church, prosecutors say.
Rev. Terrence Philip Walker Sr, 61, was charged with second-degree assault after the alleged attack, which left the victim with multiple stab wounds.
According to prosecutors, the confrontation erupted after the victim arrived at Walker’s girlfriend’s home to collect tools he claimed belonged to him.

Court documents allege the pair argued over the equipment and a receipt before the dispute turned violent.
Investigators say Walker pulled out a knife and stabbed the man several times before fleeing the property, as reported by Need To Know.
The victim was rushed to hospital with multiple stab wounds but survived the attack.
Police tracked Walker to the nearby Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, where he serves as lead pastor.
Officers said he initially refused to come out before eventually surrendering and being taken into custody without further incident.
During police interviews, Walker allegedly admitted stabbing the man but claimed he acted in self-defence after fearing for his safety.
However, prosecutors allege evidence gathered during the investigation, including witness statements and surveillance footage, contradicts that account.
Walker has since been charged with one count of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
Following his arrest, he was released on bond subject to several conditions, including having no contact with the alleged victim and not possessing weapons while the case proceeds.
The alleged stabbing happened in St Paul, Minnesota, with Walker later found inside the nearby church where he serves as pastor.
He is due back in court at a later date as criminal proceedings continue.
