A formerly-overweight student has gone viral on TikTok with his incredible body transformation – after “fat” jibes pushed him to go to the gym.
Oscar Dittberner, 17, from Jönköping, Sweden, started training at the gym in the summer of 2019 after gaining weight following a sports injury.

He weighed 14st 9lbs and was “uncomfortable” with his shape after putting on body fat when he suffered a concussion in hockey and was unable to train for a period.
“That was the factor that made me overweight, then when I got well, I decided to make a change,” Oscar, a student, told Jam Press.
“I didn’t want to look like I did and decided to change.”
He started a dedicated gym regimen, going 6-7 times a week and following an extensive training programme which includes weight training and cardio.
Oscar said: “In the beginning I saw results quite quickly, but after a while they take longer to see results.

“It takes a long time to achieve good results and you have to work hard for a long time to see results. You just have to be patient.”
His patience certainly paid off, with Oscar dropping 13lbs and losing body fat while building muscle in the process.
Oscar shared a video of him on TikTok, showing the difference between his body in the summer of 2019 at the start of his journey, and how he currently looks.
The post went viral and was viewed nearly one million times, with hundreds of fans commenting on his impressive transformation.
One person said: “Bravo. You must feel healthy and amazing.”
“OK that’s a glow up,” another user commented.

Someone else added: “I am going to the gym right away.”
Other people described the transformation as “insane” and “impressive”, while some followers begged for tips.
Oscar currently weighs 14st and eats 3,800 calories a day while in bulk mode.
He said: “Right now I try to eat as clean and healthy as possible whether I am bulking or cutting. Before I started my journey I ate a lot of junk and unhealthy food.
“I didn’t get many comments before I started training, but if I did they were that I was fat.
“My self-confidence is much better, and I started to get more attention from people.
“I got more attention from girls after I got in good shape – right now I’m in a relationship.
“My health both mentally and physically has become incredibly better.
“It has been a hard journey so far but worth every minute of the hard work.”
